Hello, I'm Chef Nathalie. I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Miami, where I had the privilege of witnessing my parents successfully run Gourmet Kreyol, one of the first renowned Haitian restaurants in the area, for two decades. Their dedication to sharing our beloved culture left a mark on me. Today, I proudly continue their culinary legacy by bringing our Haitian flavors to the streets of Boston with my own company. 

In 2021, I started Gourmet Kreyol, the food truck and catering company. My cousin Karyn Glemaud Anis was instrumental in the successful launch of Gourmet Kreyol. She helped me better understand the business aspect of running a catering company. She believed in me and pushed me to turn my dream into reality. She supported me every step of the way in the launch. Over the years, after long hours in the kitchen, dozens of events and festivals, and tireless persistence, Gourmet Kreyol expanded far beyond the mission I set out to accomplish. My journey hasn't been without challenges. But with hard work, the support of my family, friends, and mentors, I've seen significant growth in my business. 

2023 was indeed a pivotal year for me. We catered to several high profile clients like Mayor Wu, the City of Boston and Dr. Gay President of Harvard University. We've also answered the call for help by providing culturally relevant meals and support to the recent Haitian migrant community in shelters. With my business’ growth, I was able to provide job opportunities to members of the Haitian community that would otherwise have remained overlooked or underestimated. Lastly, Receiving the Haitian American Young Entrepreneur Award that same year was a humbling and heartwarming experience. And It was truly a testament to the hard work and dedication my team and I put into Gourmet Kreyol. 

My two incredible sons have made sacrifices along this journey. Being a single mom and a business owner can be very demanding. However, the rewards far outweigh the sacrifice! I cherish the opportunity to inspire them, to make a difference in my community through my passion for food and culture. I firmly believe that food has the power to unite people, and my mission is to introduce the world to Haitian culture one plate at a time.

In 2024, I'm tirelessly working on opening my very own restaurant and kitchen, where we will offer sit-down dining alongside our food truck and catering services. With our upcoming restaurant, we're excited for further growth and success, both in terms of locations and revenue, as we continue to share the taste of Haitian culture with a larger audience.
